Explanation of Scoring System

Personal Introduction - Personal Introduction should be fun and upbeat. Contestants must announce their name, age, and town but other than that it's their time to get creative and be fun.  The personal introduction can include something exciting about yourself, your hobbies, why you entered the pageant, plans for the future, sponsors, anything. It's your time to shine so be creative! They will be judged on clarity, tone, pitch, and emotion.

You can add any twists to this that you want the only stipulation is that you have to have your name, age and town included. For examples please contact us.

Interview - The pageant committee and judges will develop a series of eight (8) questions to be asked to each contestant, prior to the beginning of the pageant.  Judges will take into consideration the following, when scoring each contestant: knowledge of the topic, poise, eye contact, personality, articulation, tone, emotion and confidence.

Evening Gown  - Contestants will be asked to bring an evening gown of their choice.  They will be scored on poise, confidence, and whether the dress suits them. Junior contestants are allowed an evening gown knee length to floor length - but when choosing the length please keep in mind that they are on a stage above the audience and also that slit's and cut-outs may not be deemed appropriate for that age category.

Fun Fashion Wear - Contestants will be asked to choose an outfit from their own wardrobe that most suits their personality. This can be anything they consider to be fun fashion wear and show their personality. Feel free to accessorize with hats, jewelry, belts, etc.  No swimsuits or mid-riff reveling attire will be allowed.  They will be scored on poise, confidence, and whether the outfit suits them.

TOP 10:

Impromptu Question  - Each delegate will be asked one (1) question which they will choose at random from a bowl of questions that have been preselected by the pageant committee. Judges will take into consideration the following when scoring each contestant: poise, personality, articulation, tone, emotion and confidence.

TOP 5:

Personal Expression - Prior to the pageant, contestants are asked to prepare a 30 second to 1 minute dialog of personal expression on the topic of their choice. The top 5 will compete in this category during the onstage gala. Judges will take into consideration the following when scoring each contestant: knowledge of the topic, personality, confidence, articulation, emotion and tone. Contestants should also keep in mind that their topic should be appropriate for their age range. Contestants are to have this memorised as papers or cue cards are not permitted on stage with them. The personal expression portion follows the top 5 announcement, so they do not have the opportunity to leave the stage in between portions.

Contestant scores will be totaled to determine the names of the winner and runners-up.
